In the middle of last year, the Railway Infrastructure Administration, the state organization responsible for the Czech Railways transport infrastructure, started to verify the operation of the modern railway lighting system from the LED-SOLAR construction and production workshop.
Czech Railways interested in this modern system for several reasons. The first were excellent references from the use of this progressive lighting technology in the environment of Slovak Railways. There is also an ambition to use the technical characteristics of lighting technology, which already reflects on its design basis the stringent requirements of the railway area lighting, which are associated with the demanding technical environment of traction and overall “railway” electrical engineering.
Testing is carried out at the premises of the railway station Břeclav, where the lights for the railway poles and the lighting towers are verified. At the Train Station Hrušky, platforms are illuminated.
The control measurements and the operational tests have proved to be excellent, and the Czech railway operator opens the opportunity to use new, modern and highly efficient lighting technology.
