Based on cooperation with the Railway Infrastructure Administration in the Czech Republic and ProAlter Bratislava, a pilot project was also launched in 2017 to assess the suitability of using LED technology for stationary building designation.
The assessment was carried out on the basis of the introduction of alternative technical solutions of the light boards into real traffic at the railway stations Prostějov and Štěpánov.
For the pilot project, LED-SOLAR designed and produced two types of light boards. Compared to the original luminaires, “edge” panels with light source frames and radiant polycarbonate backlighting and rear-facing backlight panels were tested.
In a imaginary competition, the “backlight” blackboard have won! In particular, it was responsible for operational reliability, uniformity of illumination of the underground area and, in particular, for the most significant energy savings, which represented up to 88% of the tested models compared to the fluorescent lamps.
