The requirement for quality lighting of the production hall was included among the planned investments of MILK-AGRO, spol. s r.o.. The management of the company proceeded to the modernization of lighting in various parts of the production areas of this food company. The basis of the modernisation was to be reliable and efficient LED luminaires. General lighting standards and regulations apply to industrial lighting. LED luminaires for production, with their modern optical systems, make it possible to take account of the variety of work tasks. After deciding to modernise their production facilities, the representatives of MILK-AGRO turned to the experts at LED-SOLAR, Ltd. to design a new lighting system.

Production hall lighting - design

Any lighting system designed to illuminate a production hall must meet the standard requirements for lighting in terms of fulfilling the required visual task. Responsible designers must therefore familiarise themselves with the nature of the operation in the production area. They must be familiar with the nature of the production activity and the roles of the employees at each workstation. They are also interested in the technology, machinery and equipment used and the layout of the space. Equally important are the possibilities of illuminating the production hall with natural daylight through windows, skylights or light ducts. It is only after all these facts have been established that it is possible to proceed to the actual design of the project for the lighting of the production area.

It is a matter of course that the staff of the design office of LED-SOLAR, s.r.o. carry out an on-site inspection of the premises before designing the lighting system. They obtain information from competent operating personnel and carry out their own measurements. And only after the actual situation has been ascertained does the calculation work begin. It does not matter whether it is a demanding industrial lighting or warehouse lighting. It is obvious that it is such a responsible approach that makes the reputation of LED-SOLAR, s.r.o. and strengthens the confidence of clients in the professionalism of the manufacturer.

Industry luminaires

For the lighting of the production hall, LED-SOLAR designers propose several model series of luminaires. The most preferred are the products of the LED Industry model series designed for various industrial lighting applications. Another excellent choice is the basis in the interior line luminaires of the LED Shape model series, which, when armed with special optical systems. The compact linear systems that LED-SOLAR can also offer in high IP65 protection are also perfectly suited for production.  For their selection and the optics used, the purposes of their use according to the intended production operations are guiding factors.

Operational safety, reduction of operating costs and energy consumption were the main objectives to be ensured by the refurbished lighting of MILK-AGRO's production hall. High-performance luminaires from the LED Industry SII programme were used for the new lighting system.

The user and working comfort of the employees was also enhanced by the proposed special distribution of light from the luminaires using special optics, which contributed to improved working conditions and an overall increase in safety at work. The new lighting of the production hall has proved its worth.
