The lighting of the cheese warehouse was another planned investment by the management of MILK-AGRO, spol. s r.o., which contributed to the modernization of lighting in various parts of the production areas of this food company. The general lighting standards and regulations for warehouse management also apply to the lighting of the cheese warehouse. LED luminaires for warehouses, with their modern optical systems, make it possible to take into account the variety of work tasks and the goods and materials stored. After deciding to modernise their warehouse, MILK-AGRO turned to the experts at LED-SOLAR, Ltd. to design a new lighting system.

Cheese warehouse lighting - proposal

Every lighting system, not excluding warehouse lighting, must comply with the standard requirements for lighting in terms of fulfilling the required visual task. Responsible designers must therefore familiarise themselves with the nature of the operation in the warehouse in question. They must be familiar with the length of stay of employees in the warehouse and the manner in which materials are stored. They are also interested in the shelving systems used, their height and their layout in the space. Equally important are the possibilities of illuminating the warehouse with natural daylight through windows, skylights or light ducts. Only after all these facts have been ascertained, can you proceed to the actual design of the project for the lighting of the warehouse space.

It is a matter of course that the staff of the design office of LED-SOLAR, s.r.o. carry out an on-site inspection of the premises before designing the lighting system. They obtain information from competent operating personnel and carry out their own measurements. And only after the actual situation has been ascertained does the calculation work begin. It does not matter whether it is a demanding industrial lighting or warehouse lighting. Luminaires for warehouse management

For warehouse lighting, LED-SOLAR designers propose several model series of luminaires. The most preferred are the products of the LED Industry model series designed for a variety of industrial applications. Another excellent choice is the basis in the interior linear luminaires of the LED Shape model series, which, when armed with special optical systems, are perfectly suited for warehouse lighting. Their selection and the optics used are guiding for the purpose of their use. LED linear luminaires with asymmetrical optics are suitable for the illumination of the front of rack storage. For more difficult conditions indoors or outdoors, LED Industry luminaires are suitable.

Operational safety, reduction of operating costs and energy consumption were the main objectives to be ensured by the refurbished MILK-AGRO cheese warehouse lighting. High-performance linear luminaires from the LED Shape range were used for the new lighting system.

The user and employee comfort was also enhanced by the proposed special distribution of light from the luminaires using special optics, which contributed to improved handling of goods in the vertical plane and to an overall increase in safety at work.
