LED lighting of the MILK-AGRO shop

The new LED lighting of the MILK-AGRO, spol. s r.o., Prešov store brought a new quality of shopping to the customers. This manufacturing and trading company has been operating on the Slovak market since 1991. It operates more than 180 stores throughout Slovakia and is gradually expanding its business empire. SABI dairy products are characterised by good prices, high quality and are very popular and sought after by consumers. The modernisation of lighting in commercial and production areas is one of the company's activities aimed not only at increasing the comfort of customers when shopping, but also at the safety of its own employees. Reliable and efficient LED luminaires were to be the basis of the modernisation.

General lighting standards and regulations apply to the lighting of commercial premises. LED shop luminaires with their modern optical systems allow for a variety of tasks to be taken into account when selling goods in the shop. After deciding to renovate the lighting of their commercial premises, the representatives of MILK-AGRO turned to the experts of LED-SOLAR, Ltd. for the design of a new lighting system.

LED shop lighting - design

Any lighting system designed for shop lighting must meet the standard requirements for lighting in terms of fulfilling the required visual task. Responsible designers must therefore familiarise themselves with the nature of the operation and the activities and roles of the staff at each site. They are also interested in the layout of the equipment in the shop area. Equally important are the possibilities of illuminating the shop with natural daylight through windows, skylights or light ducts. Only after all these facts have been ascertained, it is possible to proceed to the actual design of the lighting project for the shop.

It is a matter of course that the staff of the design office of LED-SOLAR, s.r.o. carry out an on-site inspection of the premises before designing the lighting system. They obtain information from competent operating personnel and carry out their own measurements. And only after the actual situation has been ascertained does the calculation work begin. It does not matter whether it is demanding industrial lighting, warehouse lighting or shop lighting. Luminaires for the shop

For the lighting of the shop, LED-SOLAR -u designers propose luminaires of several model series. The most preferred are the products of the LED Shape model series designed for diverse lighting according to the product mix in the store and the equipment used. It is an excellent choice and basis for interior line luminaires that can be armed with special optical systems. Compact linear systems are also suitable for the illumination of commercial areas, which LED-SOLAR can also offer in high IP65 protection. The selection of these luminaires and the optics used are guided by the purpose of their use according to the specified requirements.

Operational safety, reduction of operating costs and energy consumption were the main objectives to be ensured by the refurbished MILK-AGRO shop lighting. In this case, high-performance luminaires from the LED Shape range were used for the new lighting system.

The user and employee comfort was also enhanced by the proposed distribution of light from the luminaires using special optics, which contributed to improved working conditions and an overall increase in safety at work. The new lighting of the grocery store on Hlavná Street in Prešov has proved its worth. The possibility of using intensity control, which is controlled by a simple flick of a switch in preset intensities, also contributed to the overall satisfaction. However, the modernisation of the lighting of the commercial premises had the greatest benefit in terms of increased customer satisfaction.
